Enjoying summer

Hi!

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Shelter challenge blog and this time the theme is "Anyhing goes".

I've been sick couple of weeks and didn't have much energy so I decided to use precoloured images and background. And something summer themed for our summer break challenge 😊

So, I designed the layout with a text editor program. I used the background from My Happy Summer Face set and added a Giselle image to enjoy the summer scene. I also decided to use the doggy image from My Happy Summer Face set. When I was happy with the result I printed the layout and added some colours with markers here and there before taping the layout on the pink cardboard. Lastly I stamped the summer text on the right down corner.

Cupcake birthday card

Hello!

It's time for a new Polkadoodles Craft challenge, come and join us here 😊

This time I wanted to do something different and came up with the idea of a cupcake accordion card. I used Waffle Cream Frosting Cupcake digi stamp and designed the card with a text editor program. I arranged the cupcakes near each other before printing and then cut the print with an electric cutting machine. I fold the cardboard between cupcakes with a little help of a bone folder and then coloured the cupcakes with alcohol markers.

Lastly I added die cut letters saying "Happy bday!". This was a fun project!

Getting ready for Halloween

Hi!

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Shelter challenge blog and this time the theme is "Sweet Treats".

Well, treats make me think of Halloween so I decided to go with that. I used A Tricky Treat image and coloured it with alcohol markers. I also added a glossy accent over the apple.

I created the background with Whimsy Stamps background stamp. I firstly used the stamp with waterproof Versafine inks (purple and orange), then added purple Distress Ink over the whole background. I pressed wet paper here and there to create the worn white areas and let the card base dry. Then I stamped some bats, the sentiment and taped the vampire boy with foam tape.

Video camera view card

Hello!

This time I share a card I made for my 'crafty challenge calendar'. You can find more info about the challenge from my earlier post here.

The picture of the card is not great, sorry about that. It was a last minute idea to do this card for my hubby's nephew who graduated from vocational college as a media assistant (or something like that) so I didn't have much time to take the picture either.

So this is meant to be the camera view - there are six different recorded videos of different places. And the thought is that you can do anything and be anything 😊 I used a Stampendous stamp set and Distress Inks to create the scenes.

It could be better but with the time I had I'm happy with the result.

Summer slimline card

Hi crafters!

This time I share a card I made for my 'crafty challenge calendar'. You can find more info about the challenge from my earlier post here.

Because it's summer and very hot I got inspired by these CraftEmotions summer treats 😊 I coloured the images with alcohol markers.

I  knew instantly that the Visible Image stencil from my last challenge bag would be perfect for this summery card, so I used some orange and yellow Distress Inks with the stencil to create this sunny background.

Sometimes things just click instantly. I wish it would happen more often 😄

Contents of the bag 3:
- Les animaux font leur cirque stamp set by Carabelle Studio
- Summer Fun stamp set by CraftEmotions
- Blooming Tree stencil by Brutus Monroe
- Embossing folder by Sizzix
- Edge die (don't remember the manufacturer)

Bon Voyage

Hello!

It's time for a new Polkadoodles Craft challenge, come and join us here 😊

I combined Bob the Dog in a Boat image and Coast Beach Sea background image with a text editor program, printed and coloured it with alcohol markers. I die cut the image and added a blue cardboard behind it.

The background paper is from Starfish & Sandcastles paper pack and I added a fish net die cut on one corner and added some blue Distress Ink around the paper before taping it to white cardboard. Then I taped the image on the background paper.

Lastly I added the sun, bees, butterfly and reed images that I stamped with Unfrogettable & Toadal Sweetheart stamp sets and coloured with alcohol markers.

Trust Your Creative Madness

Happy friday!

This time I share a card I made for my 'crafty challenge calendar'. You can find more info about the challenge from my earlier post here.

I got inspired by the Supernova stencil by Visible Image. Firstly I used the stencil with Distress Inks and stamped the sentiment and "bubbles" with Stay Weird stamp set (also by Visible image). After that I added a second layer over the stenciled area with light paste (I love how the colours shines through the paste). I stamped the framed texts with Brighten the World stamp set (by Visible image), cut them and taped them on the card.

You Have to Trust Your Own Creative Madness!

- Supernova stencil by Visible Image (used on this card)
- All That stamp set by Kenny K

Sea scene card with dolphins

Hello!

It's time for a new Polkadoodles Craft challenge, come and join us here 😊

This time I made this fun dolphin card. I used the Dolphins image, coloured the dolphins with alcohol markers and then cut them.

For the card base I used papers from Winnie Starfish/Sandcastles 7, 4 and 5 digi paper packs. I die cut two holes of different sizes to the papers and layered them with foam tape to create more dimension.

Next I added the sentiment from Winnie Mermazing Mermaid Quotes set and taped the dolphins on the scene with foam tape. Lastly I added a few sequins here and there.

Fairy birthday card

Hi!

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Shelter challenge blog and this time the theme is "Fantasy/Fairytale".

I used Enchanting Fairy Portrait and coloured it with alcohol markers. I found the leaf background I've done earlier from my stash and I think it fits perfectly for this card. So I went with a simple layout, because the image is so beautiful and I also love the background and didn't want to cover it. The sentiment says 'Have a magical day' in Finnish.
