Memory box

It's time for some new inspiration for Polkadoodles Craft challenge. You can find more inspiration and join the challenge here 😊

 

I did something different this time - no colouring at all, OMG! I decided to try my ScanNCut to create this cute memory box.

First I printed 2 beautiful yellowish red papers from Spring into Easter papers set 1 & set 2. Because I wanted the inside part of the box to also have some beautiful patterns I also printed a green paper from set 1 to the other side of the red papers. I also printed blue paper from Spring into Easter papers set 3 (same print for both sides of the printing paper) to cut the index cards from. The printing paper needs to be quite thick so that the box is sturdy enough - the paper I used was 250gsm and it's quite good (but could also be thicker).

 

 

 

 Then I did some magic with the Recipe Box Svg Print & Cut Template svg files and cut the box parts from the papers I just printed. I did some folding and gluing and assembled the box. Lastly I added some pre-coloured images to embellish the box a little - I used Tropical Sorbet Craft Set (alphabets), Lily Bug Ladybird Frames, Teacup Lily Ladybug pre-coloured, Lovebird Letter pre-coloured, Bob the Dog in a Boat craft bundle, Surprise Gift Winnie pre-coloured and Bella Bear Morning Coffee craft bundle.

 

So the box is now done, just need to add the memories inside. But that's a case for another day 😊

Leimasinten säilytys

Käsi alkaa onneksi olla jo parempi, jihuu. Alkaa pikkuhiljaa stressata, kun ei ole joulukorttien tekoa tullut aloitettua ollenkaan. Pitänee tehdä melko yksinkertaiset kortit tänä vuonna. 

Halloweenikin lähestyy kovaa vauhtia, itse vietän sitä tulevana perjantaina. Ensi viikolla yritän saada aikaiseksi laitettua tänne kuvia halloweenin aikaansaannoksista - tuppaa päivittäminen kestämään ihan liian pitkään.. Alla oleva leimasinten säilytys -projektikin on tehty muistaakseni jo syyskuussa..

Leimasimia pyöri monessa laatikossa ja mietin pitkään sopivaa säilytysratkaisua. Lopulta sain idean laminoida säilytystaskut niin, että saan säilytettyä kaikki leimasimet samassa laatikossa (paitsi puukantaleimasimet joutuivat tyytymään eri laatikkoon). 

Tasku on tehty niin, että A4-kokoinen paperiarkki (jolle leimattu taskuun tulevat leimat) on taitettu puoliksi ja laminoitu, joten kun laminointikalvon leikkaa aivan paperin "avoimesta" reunasta, niin muodostuu tasku. Lisäksi taskun sisälle on laminoitu ja leikattu sopiva sisus, johon leimasimet saa kiinni - näin leimat saa helposti vetäistyä taskusta pois.

Lisäksi leimakuvat on leimattu vielä erillisille paperiarkeille ja laitettu kansioon, josta on sitten helppo selailla, että mitäs kaikkea minulta löytyikään.

Muutama ilta siinä meni, mutta jatkossa onkin sitten helpompi, kun taskut voi tehdä sitä mukaa kuin uusia leimasimia tulee hankittua.

Tämän projektin jälkeen kysymys kuuluukin, että kuinka pitkään tämä säilytysratkaisu tuntuu toimivalta.. Sitä kun tuppaa aina saamaan "parempia" ideoita, kun edellinen on toteutettu =D
