Memory box

Hi!

It's time for some new inspiration for Polkadoodles Craft challenge. You can find more inspiration and join the challenge here 😊

I did something different this time - no colouring at all, OMG! I decided to try my ScanNCut to create this cute memory box.

First I printed 2 beautiful yellowish red papers from Spring into Easter papers set 1 & set 2. Because I wanted the inside part of the box to also have some beautiful patterns I also printed a green paper from set 1 to the other side of the red papers. I also printed blue paper from Spring into Easter papers set 3 (same print for both sides of the printing paper) to cut the index cards from. The printing paper needs to be quite thick so that the box is sturdy enough - the paper I used was 250gsm and it's quite good (but could also be thicker).

Then I did some magic with the Recipe Box Svg Print & Cut Template svg files and cut the box parts from the papers I just printed. I did some folding and gluing and assembled the box. Lastly I added some pre-coloured images to embellish the box a little - I used Tropical Sorbet Craft Set (alphabets), Lily Bug Ladybird Frames, Teacup Lily Ladybug pre-coloured, Lovebird Letter pre-coloured, Bob the Dog in a Boat craft bundle, Surprise Gift Winnie pre-coloured and Bella Bear Morning Coffee craft bundle.

So the box is now done, just need to add the memories inside. But that's a case for another day 😊

With Love

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Shelter challenge blog and this time the theme is "With love".

I used this new(ish) image Would You Be My Valentine? and coloured her with alcohol markers.

The background has quite a lot of things 😊 First I made a few layers with Fabrika Decoru Magic paint spray and water. Then I added some stamping. Unfortunately I did black stamping to the center of the card but I didn't like it so I stamped again over it with red ink and heat embossed it with red embossing powder - and it was so much better. There are still some black spots but that's ok.

Then I die cut some hearts (added glossy accents on them) and clouds (added some colour on them). I glued them on the card and lastly added the image with foam tape.

Queen of Hearts

Hi crafters!

Here again with a Moondrea Designs DT work 😊

This time I used this beautiful new Queen of Hearts image and coloured her with alcohol markers. I love the contrast between red and black so I decided to use that colour scheme.

After colouring I added Glossy Accents over the big heart, the necklace and crown jewels. I also added some hearts to the background with stencil and Distress Ink. The frame is red glitter cardstock. There is also some Wink of stella glitter on the red roses and black "frame" (doesn't show very well in the picture).

Here's a love themed atc (artist trading card) I made for Visible Image atc swap.

Everything is stamped with a few different red inks. I also added some embossing powder to the love sentiment and hearts.

Quite simple but I love it 😊

Love is in the air

Hi crafters!

It's time for new inspiration for Polkadoodles Craft challenge. You can find more inspiration and join the challenge here 😊

I used this adorable Love is in the Air Elephant image. I used a text editor program to print one "normal" and one reversed image. I also modified the sentiment from Love Always sentiments set before printing it. I coloured the image and sentiment banner with alcohol markers and white paint pen.

Then I made the card base - I stamped the edges with a stamp from Love Hearts stamp set and fussy cut it. I die cut a couple hearts with Squarey Swirly Hearts die and coloured them also with alcohol markers. Lastly I taped the images, sentiment and hearts on card base with a foam tape.

I really love the contrast in this card!

Steampunk(ish) birthday card

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Shelter challenge blog and this time the theme is "Make your own background".

I used this cute Steampunk Girl image and coloured her with alcohol markers. I used the colours from the background I had done earlier.

To create the background I taped aluminium tape over a cardstock and then embossed it. I added some acrylic paint and Distress Oxide and scratched the coat a little bit so that aluminium tape is also visible in some spots. Lastly I coated the whole background with some wax to protect the paints and inks.

The sentiment is also die cut from aluminium tape coated cardstock, then painted with acrylic paint and Distress Oxide.

Winter birthday fairy

Hi crafters!

Here again with a Moondrea Designs DT work 😊

This time I used this beautiful Winter Fairy image and coloured her with alcohol markers. I wanted to stay mostly with a cool/blue/white colour scheme but added a hint of gold and green.

The background I made with sprays, let it dry and then added some snowflakes with a stencil and glittery blue paste. When the background was ready and dry I added the image, sentiment and some die cut snowflakes.
